built my first system for IASCA competition purposes. I am running two 10" L5's
in my saturn sc2, matched to a custom box for SPL purposes, aswell as a hertz HP1KD amplifier. Made it all the way to Western Canadian Finals and won. 2 weeks later got confirmation from Canadian Car Audio that i was also the 2009 Canadian IASCA national champion. 2 huge awards aswell as many other competition wins thanks to KICKER. Thanks Guys your quality products and knowledge about stereos really helped me out alot. THANKS. KICKER FOR LIFE!!
SOO AMAZING I LOVE THIS ONE GOT ONE
I got a 96 toyota tacoma truck extra cab and one day i decided to put some system in it coz i wanted bass. My first kicker sub was the regular comp which is alright for me, but ended up changing it to a 2 12 inch CVR's with 1800 watts amp it was banging hard, but i ended up selling it because that time i was in need of money, but now everything is straight so i decided i wanted more bass so i put 2 12 inches of Solo Baric L5's with a DHD 2000 watts amp. When i played a song called, "Pop My Trunk" by Wine-O i was like, "WOW!" The bass was amazingly loud. "Iam satisfied with it for now." To Kicker company great job guys and keep up the good work.
I put 2 12 inch L5s in my Honda Accord a while back and while I was searching for an amp I decided to go ahead and dynamat the trunk I ran across a Powerbass 900/1 2 Channel (the subs had seperate chambers), and when I put 'em in my trunk I couldn't believe how loud they were I mean ppl in the other car lanes were rolling their windows up b/c it p!$$e$ 'em off, (I laughed b/c I knew they could still hear it). These were def. worth the money I still have 'em but I had to replace my 6X9s b/c they couldn't handle the Bass coming from the trunk I just bought another car 00 Eclipse and plan on putting a 15 inch L7 in. After the CVRs I knew I was stickin with Kicker and after the L5s that'll never change Livin' Loud Kicker Thank You for the great products..
I just change a CVR for this L5, being same 10 " , the L5 really beat the CVR in clearity, power (of course is bigger power handling) used in the same port enclosure, I really recomend this piece , affordable, stronger look & extreme presence !!!
Just one of these is almost out-hitting the three 12's it replaced. But that doesn't surprise me one bit. You can't expect anything less from the number one sub on the market, KICKER!!!
WOW!! I have a 4 ohm L5 12" sub in a probox super bass ported enclosure pushed by a zx750.1 rated at 890 watts. This sub is the tightest, loudest and cleanest sounding sub I have ever heard. If your in a daily driver I would get the L5 b/c my friend has an L7 in the same box same amp and you have to really listen to tell a difference. I will definitely only buy Kicker products from now on.
THESE SUBS ARE THE TRUTH , I PROMISE YOU IF YOU BUY THESE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
I have 4 of these where the back seat is supposed to be in my 2004 corolla. They are in a slot loaded enclosure with 2-1500 watt Hifonics amps along with various Sony & Infinity products. I cant turn it up too loud for fear of blowing my windows out.I've been installing custom car audio since 1987 and I haven't found any better subs than Kicker.
I just bought two 10" L5s and they rock i would strongly recomend these. I also have a pdx 1.600 amp and rockford fosgale cords this is a good and affordable set up. Recently my dad also upgraded the speakers in my truck by putting a pdx 4.100 amp in pushing two 6.5' alpine type Rs and two 4x6 infinity reference series. I haven't had a chance to hook them up yet but it should sound good.
The Solo-Baric L5 inherits all the same patented technology as the dominant L7 square woofer, with a hot new look and improved design for an even mightier performance.
The cone and basket take on a more macho feel in 2008. Like its ultimate SoloX Subwoofer big brother, the Solo-Baric L5 utilizes SoloKon™ technology, a vacuum-formed, ultra-rigid design with vented 360-degree back bracing used to push mass quantities of air. A Santoprene® surround handles the force of the L5’s motor and cone, and a rear foam gasket secures the stamped-steel basket to any given baffle. The logo-bearing steel basket with spring-loaded terminals, a stout magnet, and the logo-bearing protective front gasket also allow the L5 to take on any punishment given.
The L5’s motor structure also handles extreme power with high-temp dual voice coils covering a new heat-dispersing, solid pole piece, a poly-cotton semi-progressive spider with perimeter venting built into the spider landing, and long-lasting Spiralead™ tinsel leads. Altogether it’s a square-sub recipe for delivering superior bass.
The four sizes of Solo-Baric L5 are available in 2-Ohm or 4-Ohm DVC and deliver force from sealed- or vented-box applications.
